February Nail Art Challenge - RECREATE YOUR FAVOURITE

This is the 9th and final installment in Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today's mani is RECREATE YOUR FAVOURITE. I had to take this opportunity to recreate Erica's -  Inspired By A Tutorial post from Cute Polish called Water Spotted Nail Art. It seemed so ingenius!! I'm a sucker for neons so I stuck with the original tutorial colors.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Erica for including me in this Challenge. It has been an awesome challenge and I really liked the catagories that she chose for the 9 days. As I am sad that this challenge has come to an end, I am also looking forward to giving my nails a much needed break and some TLC. I ordered some PURE Nail & Cuticle Oil from Ana at Simple Nail Art Tips and can't wait to try it out.

February Nail Art Challenge: POLKA DOT NAILS

It's Day 8 of Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today is POLKA DOT NAILS and I have had a mani in mind since the 1st of February!! This one was a little time consuming, but not very hard to accomplish. I love how putting two different size/color dots on top of one another gives mani's such a 3 dimensional look.

February Nail Art Challenge: INSPIRED BY A TUTORIAL

It's the 7th day of Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today is INSPIRED BY A TUTORIAL. I have had this specific tutorial "bookmarked" for a few weeks now. I figured this would be the perfect time to try it out. I am dedicating it to my son who watched me paint my nails from start to finish for this one. It's an "Angry Birds" tutorial from Cute Polish and it really was super easy.

February Nail Art Challenge - GRADIENT NAILS

It's the 6th day of Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today is GRADIENT NAILS and I must say that this is the first gradient that I have attempted. I was really nervous going into it, but now that I did it, I can't wait to do more!! By the way........I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOW THESE TURNED OUT ;)

February Nail Art Challenge: VALENTINE'S DAY NAILS

It's the 5th day of Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today's challenge is VALENTINE'S DAY NAILS. I knew going into this that I didn't want to do the usual hearts mani but still wanted to do something with pink and red. Although I did use little red heart gem embellishments, they seemed simple and not too overbearing. All in all I think this came together really well. Both the red and pink polishes are untrieds and I was pleasantly surprised by both.

February Nail Art Challenge: INSPIRED BY A PATTERN

It's the 4th day of Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today's mani is Inspired By a Pattern and was a real challenge to me. I finally decided to go through my stamping plate collection and see what inspired me.  I ended up finding a plate that was some sort of animal print. I'm thinking it is giraffe print or something, but either way, I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my mani. Of course my go to colors seem to be pink and black, so this one is no different.

February Nail Art Challenge: GLITTER LOADED NAILS

This is day 3 of Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. Today's nails were GLITTER LOADED NAILS. I had to sit and think about this one. I wanted to do something a little more soft and elegant so I chose a soft baby blue with big pink and blue glitter mixed with very fine silver glitter. I didn't want to just cover my whole nail with glitter so I sponged the glitter on my nail. This really helped with glitter placement too! I can't quit looking at my nails. For such a simple design, they look so classy :)

February Nail Art Challenge: HALF MOON MANI

This is the second design in Erica's Nails & More February Nail Art Challenge. I must admit, I have never understood this type of mani. Some of them look pretty enough but it just seems unnatural to me. I have only tried a Half Moon Mani one other time and figured maybe I would like/understand it this time around........but alas........still not liking them. I did put my best foot forward on trying it out though.
