I'm in Love........With My Nails!!

It looks like Sinful Colors has released a line of Metallics and I just had to try them out. This one is called Hot Wired and is a Blue/Gray Metallic that is fast becoming my favorite color. It goes on in two coats and dries quickly. I knew I wanted to stamp them but I'm so sick of just using black and white to stamp and neither color seemed appropriate for this beautiful Metallic. I was worried that stamping it with silver would not stand out enough but boy was I WRONG!! You always know that you've done a good job when you can't quit looking at your nails. I catch myself watching my nails as I use my hands *sigh* they are so pretty!!

Two Coat - Sinful Colors Metallic - Hot Wired
Stamped With - Konad Special Silver
Top Coat - China Glaze - Fast Forward
Stamping Plate - BM305

WARNING.....PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!!!!

Oh, did I mention I LOVE MY NAILS.......

On a side note.... I never thought I would say this, but my nails were getting entirely too long. I filed them down quite a bit and am so happy with my length now. I didn't think I would ever be happy about having shorter nails. They are so strong after using my Nail Magic strengthener for a base coat that they just grow and grow and grow.

Sorry for all the blah, blah...Enjoy your day.

Mysterious Curse

I was so worn out yesterday that I didn't have a creative bone left in my body. I even put my polish and supplies out on the table and thought - I just don't have the energy for this....but I ended up just doing a polish without design so my nails wouldn't remain nekkid for more than a day. This was my first time using Orly's Mysterious Curse and I was pleasantly surprised. It went on so smooth and was so thick that I almost didn't need the second coat. And the color is AMAZING. Let's just say that the pictures DO NOT do it justice! This is one that you'll have to see on in person. It looks purple in the bottle but one you get it on, the mystery begins. Sometimes it looks a unique blue and sometimes it looks a brilliant purple. Either way it's beautiful!

Diagonal Half and Half Mani

I really like this style of Mani because of it's clean look. It is also a real attention grabber. I seem to get tons of compliments on my nails when wearing this style. My camera battery was out so I used my iPhone. Sorry for the sub-par pictures.

Sinful Colors - Pink
Sally Hansen GEMS - Glitz Gal

China Glaze Magnetix II

As soon as I received the new email ad from Sally Beauty Supply I had to run out and get the new China Glaze Magnetix Design Magnet (and of course a new Magnetix color - CON-FUSED?) What's weird is that the Sally ad showed the magnet designs as a heart, a circle and an "X", but when I bought it, it was a circle, three vertical lines and a grid pattern...huh??? Anyways, I was just happy to have some new designs to play around with. I've only tried the grid pattern so far and was less than impressed with the turn out. If it would work well, it would have looked pretty awesome. I even shook the bottle after each application to maximize the magnetic stuff in the bottle. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

An Impatient Bumblebee....

I was all full of good intentions when I started this mani. Got all of my tools and colors together - very excited about using striping tape for the first time. Then the tediousness began. It took forever to tape all of the stripes off then after painting black polish over them I wasn't sure if I should wait till it almost dried to pull them off or if it was like scotch tape and needs to come off immediately. I ended up waiting a few minutes before taking the striping tape off and it seemed to work okay. Then I waited what seemed like forever to let the black dry and it was getting pretty late so I put my clear coat on and it screwed all of my hard labor up in a matter of seconds......ugh!!! My lines got smeared and I almost cried. Oh well, live and learn.

Colors Used:
Base of Sally Hansen - Mellow Yellow
2nd Coat of Pure Ice - Excuse Me
Top Coat of China Glaze - Fast Forward
Striping Tape from Ebay
Coat of Sinful Colors - Black on Black
On my accent finger I used Jordana - White and Sinful Colors - Black on Black
With two different sized dotting tools

Here is my Impatient Bumblebee Mani:
